Just read a report from the flooring trade group that says 1 in 4 installers have a knee replacement by age 55.

Found it in their annual safety bulletin. How many of you guys are already dealing with serious knee pain?

Used to think knee pads were just for show until my left knee started clicking every time I bent down. Now I wear them every single job, no excuses. That stat about replacements is scary, makes you realize this stuff catches up with you. My uncle did floors for thirty years and he can barely walk to his mailbox now.

Knee pads for show? Tell that to my knees after a week of tile work. Your uncle's mailbox walk sounds like my future if I keep forgetting mine.
