I tried skipping the tack strip and using glue only on a small bedroom job
I know everyone says to always use tack strips around the perimeter, but I had a 10x12 room with concrete slab and was tired of hammer drilling for anchors. I used a high-quality pressure-sensitive adhesive directly on the clean concrete and stretched the carpet tight. Three months later, the homeowner called to say the carpet looks perfect with no ripples or edge curling. Has anyone else tried this on a small room with good results?
