Hit my 500th square yard installed last Friday and it felt weirdly quiet

I was tallying up my jobs for the month and realized I crossed 500 square yards without even noticing. Anyone else track their totals and get surprised by a random milestone like that?

I mean, the "weirdly quiet" part actually makes a lot of sense to me, maybe more than anyone realizes. When you hit a round number like that, your brain kind of expects some big emotional payoff or at least a little internal fanfare, but the actual work is just so mundane and repetitive that it doesn't really give you that. I think a lot of people in trades get this weird disconnect where the numbers keep growing but the feeling doesn't match because you're just focused on the next job. It's almost like your brain has a lag between the milestone happening and actually processing it as something meaningful. Maybe it's just me but I'd rather have that quiet satisfaction than a big fuss anyway.

yeah that disconnect is real lol. i hit 10 years in my trade back in april and it was just another tuesday. makes you wonder what you were even expecting.
