Bought a $200 knee kicker from a yard sale in Spokane and it's been a game changer

Found it last weekend, an old Roberts model that looked barely used. I was tired of my old one slipping on tight corners. This thing grips like crazy and saved me a ton of time on a tricky job yesterday. Anyone else have luck with second hand tools?

Oh man, that's awesome! I found a vintage pipe wrench at a flea market that's my absolute go-to now. The old steel jaws bite down way harder than my new stuff. Sometimes you just get lucky with the older gear.

Yeah but what about what lee.stella said about the grip failing?

Honestly, I've had the total opposite experience. Every used tool I've bought ended up needing more work than it was worth. That grip you like might just be old adhesive that's about to fail. I'd rather save up for something new with a warranty.
