PSA: An impromptu charades session fixed our project deadlock
When email threads got too confusing, I had everyone act out their tasks without words, and it cleared up all the confusion (plus, it was really funny).

Charades probably works because it makes people show their ideas without hiding behind big words. You have to act out the basic steps, which points out where things get mixed up. Kind of a silly way to solve a work problem, but it gets to the heart of the issue.

Imagine doing charades for last quarter's budget shortfall. Trying to mime "spreadsheet error" or "supply chain delay" with hand gestures. My manager would just stand there blinking while I pretend to be a broken printer. That meeting would go from confusing to deeply humiliating in about ten seconds flat.
