A coffee shop in Denver changed how I handle feedback
I was working on a project plan at a cafe downtown when a stranger asked if he could see my screen. He pointed out a huge scheduling conflict I'd missed. It was a simple fix, but I'd been staring at it for an hour. Now I always ask someone to glance at my work before I send it out. Anyone else have a random moment that changed a work habit?

A barista once told me my laptop cord was a trip hazard and I've been paranoid about cable management ever since. That tiny bit of outside perspective can spot the obvious stuff you're blind to. What's the weirdest place you've gotten good work advice?

So did you actually fix the cord problem or just start noticing it everywhere now?

Man that's so true, you just stop seeing your own mess after a while. It makes me wonder, did you actually change how you set up after that, like buy those cable clips or just get more anxious about it? I feel like the real test is if the random advice sticks or just becomes a new thing to worry about.
