I bought a sealed 1980s Fruit Brute box from a guy at the Columbus toy show for $85, thinking it was a rare canceled cereal collectible that would go up in value. Turns out the box was a common reprint from a 2013 limited run, and I found the exact same one on eBay three weeks later for $19 plus shipping. Did I miss some obvious tell on the packaging, or did anyone else get burned by these fake vintage cereal boxes?
