The high school kid who got cancelled for a 6 year old tweet
Saw a story last week about a teen in Ohio who lost his college scholarship over a tweet he posted when he was 12. It was something dumb like a racist joke he copied from YouTube. Part of me thinks actions have consequences, but the other part says a 12 year old is still a kid learning right from wrong. Where's the line on holding kids accountable for stuff they wrote before they knew better?

Wonder if it matters whether the kid actually understood what they were saying or just copied it for laughs? Like is a twelve year old who repeats a joke really the same as a seventeen year old who still holds those beliefs?
