My cousin got fired over a 5 year old tweet about a pizza place in Toledo

People keep saying cancel culture is just about 'accountability', but it's really about digging up any old thing to ruin someone's day. Has anyone else seen a job lost over something this small and old?

So what's the alternative then? Just let things slide forever? Sometimes you gotta find who messed up and deal with it. That is a kind of accountability. Not every punishment is some over the top revenge thing.
