Rant: My beach vacation camera fix turned into a total joke

Honestly, I took a trip to help a friend with his camera by the ocean and it was a disaster. The salt air messed up the lens mounts way faster than I expected. Tbh, trying to clean parts on a windy beach just made things worse. I had to use makeshift tools from a local store, and they broke halfway through. Ngl, it showed me that proper repair needs a clean, steady space, not some scenic spot. Now I think these on-the-go fixes are more for show than real work. Save yourself the trouble and stick to the bench where you can do it right.

I once tried to change a lens in a light drizzle. The front element still has a water spot I pretend is artistic.

Imagine the beach helping you fix a camera. Even @the_riley's sympathy can't save that plan. Just proves repairs and salt water don't mix at all.
