Appreciation post: That old Nikon F2 shutter curtain I fixed last month
I cleaned and re-tensioned it, and the curtain travel speed went from a sluggish 1/30th to a crisp 1/1000th on my tester. The difference in exposure consistency on the test roll was night and day. What's the oldest mechanical shutter you've brought back from the dead recently?

That SRT-101 fix @xena277 did is serious work.

Where'd you source the new escapement gear?

Just got a Minolta SRT-101 firing at 1/500th again after replacing the escapement gear. The slow speeds were totally stuck and it took a full teardown of the top plate. That first clean frame after the fix is the best feeling.
