A customer brought in a Pentax K1000 with the shutter stuck because they used a can of air on it

This happened yesterday at my shop in Boise. They said they saw a 'dust bunny' in the viewfinder and blasted it, which just forced the debris deeper into the shutter mechanism. I had to do a full disassembly to get the tiny fibers out, a two hour job. Has anyone else seen this specific mistake become more common lately?

My buddy had the same thing happen with his old Nikon after cleaning the mirror box.

Heard that can mess with the sensor alignment.

Classic case of the fix making it worse. That compressed air is basically a debris cannon for old cameras.
