A 1957 Leica IIIg came in last Tuesday and I got the shutter firing again after 3 weeks of on and off work
Customer brought it to my bench in Boise in a plastic bag, said it sat in a closet for 40 years. The slow speeds were glued shut with old grease. Soaked the gear train in naphtha, relubed with a tiny bit of Moebius, and the 1 second speed finally sounds right. Anyone got a source for the tiny shutter curtain ribbons on these, or do you all just cut your own?
