Went through QME vs agreed panel exam and the difference was night and day
I had my QME (Qualified Medical Evaluator) scheduled for months, the guy was 90 minutes late and barely looked at my MRI from my shoulder injury. After 3 tries I finally got an AME (Agreed Medical Evaluator) through my lawyer and the whole thing took 45 minutes, he actually read my file ahead of time. The QME doctor wanted to cut my permanent disability rating by 15 percent while the AME actually caught a torn labrum the first guy missed. Has anyone else had better luck going the agreed panel route for their workers comp case?

Yo I read somewhere that a bunch of QME docs are basically just rubber stamping for the insurance companies cause they get paid by them. Heard a story from a buddy whose QME literally spent 10 minutes with him and said he was fine but the AME found a whole other injury. Sounds like you got lucky with that torn labrum catch, that's a game changer for your case. The whole QME system feels rigged from the start if you ask me, glad your lawyer pushed for the agreed panel route.

@kim191 did your buddy’s lawyer ever try to get that QME tossed out?
