Hit 200 residential installs this week and finally had to admit something
I crossed 200 residential cable installs on Thursday. That number surprised me because I never actually kept count. But what really hit me was how many of those were in houses built before 1980. The old wiring and tight crawl spaces in these Milwaukee neighborhoods are a whole different game. Anyone else notice their install count creeping up faster than they expected?

Take it slow and save yourself the headaches later.

Those old Milwaukee houses never make it easy, right?

You ever get one where the roof deck is punking out but the old insulation is basically glued to the sheathing? That's Milwaukee for you. Best tip I can give is to work section by section with a flat bar and a hammer, tap it loose before you try to pry. If you rush it, you'll end up punching holes in your new underlayment from the splinters. Also check your soffit vents before you go crazy ripping stuff out, sometimes people blocked them with insulation years ago. Just take your time with it, half the battle is not making extra work for yourself.
