Old timer gave me a tip about Blum hinges that saved my whole kitchen install Friday.

I was putting in a set of frameless cabinets for a house out in Oakville, and the doors kept sagging on the bottom. No matter how many times I adjusted the cam screws, it stayed off by about an eighth inch. An older guy walks over from the next job site, looks at it for maybe 5 seconds, and says "your hinge cup sits too deep, back it out one quarter turn." He didn't even have a tool on him, just pointed. I felt stupid but I tried it, and it fixed the whole row in 2 minutes flat. He didn't stick around for a thank you, just nodded and walked back to his miter saw. Anyone else run into a trade secret from some random stranger that saved your bacon? How do you usually handle hinge depth when the boxes aren't perfectly square?

Nah, I've had bad luck with that trick... screws strip out too easy.

Seems like nobody's talking about the type of screwdriver bit you're using - if you're using one of those magnetic bits that comes with a cheap set, those things are junk and round out screws on purpose I swear. Get yourself a good set of impact-rated bits, they're harder and actually grip the screw head instead of slipping. I switched to those after stripping out a screw on my truck's tailgate and never looked back.
