Can we talk about that moment when a client brings their own 'expert' friend?
Tbh, it's always awkward when someone watches over your shoulder. This guy kept insisting on using pocket screws for everything, even the face frames. Honestly, I had to politely explain why dovetails were better for that joint.

Seriously? Pocket screws for face frames? That is a wild choice for that joint! Dovetails are so much stronger because they actually interlock the wood. Using screws there could lead to splitting or the frame coming loose over time. It blows my mind that a so called expert would push for that. You must have had to keep your cool while giving a whole woodworking lesson. Good job not letting them talk you into a bad build!

Oh man this whole debate reminds me of when my brother tried to "fix" our mom's antique chair with just wood glue and a clamp. He insisted it was the modern way, totally strong enough. Two weeks later she went to sit down and the whole leg just popped right off. Some people just get stuck on one method and refuse to listen, even when the proof is literally falling apart.

Did your brother at least try to blame the chair for being too old or something? Honestly, some people treat wood glue like it's magic and ignore that joints need actual structure. Tbh the mental image of the leg just popping off is both sad and kind of hilarious.
