I finally looked up the actual failure rate for new restaurants after my buddy's place in Tampa closed
A report from the Small Business Administration says about 60% of restaurants don't make it past their first year, which is way higher than I thought.

Keeping costs stupid low" is the real secret for a lot of things, not just businesses. I see it with people fixing up old cars or starting a garden. You figure out the basics before you spend real money.

Wait, you guys were actually able to keep costs low? I tried that with my first thing and still blew like five hundred bucks on stuff I never even used. How do you not buy the wrong stuff first?
