Went wild with watercolors in my bujo and ended up with a swamp
I decided to paint a mood tracker across two pages using watercolors, thinking it would look artsy and cool. Instead, I turned the whole spread into a soggy mess that bled through five pages and glued my journal shut for three days. Learned the hard way that my cheap Canson paper from Michael's is basically a sponge. Anyone else ruin a whole month with a dumb art experiment?

Three years ago I tried to do a galaxy theme using dollar store acrylics and ended up with something that looked like a moldy science experiment. The paint was so thick it took a week to dry and my journal pages felt like sandpaper afterwards. I still find little flecks of glitter embedded in random corners when I flip through old spreads. No joke I had to pry page 23 and 24 apart with a butter knife. My spouse still brings it up every time I mention trying something new in my bujo. Your swamp story is reminding me I need to throw away that half dried set of paints that's been sitting in my drawer since 2021.

That butter knife detail really got me, that is some next level dedication to a craft project gone wrong. I swear half the battle with bujo supplies is knowing when to just cut your losses and toss the cheap stuff before it ruins a whole notebook. Your spouse sounds like they know a good story when they see one, at least you both got a solid laugh out of it eventually.
