My bullet journal saved me from a really bad Tuesday

Last week, I had three meetings, a vet appointment, and a project deadline all on the same day. I was sure I'd miss something. But I checked my weekly spread that morning and saw I'd color-coded the vet trip in bright green. That one visual cue made me remember to grab the cat carrier before I left. I got through everything without a single panic moment. Has anyone else had a day where a simple color code or symbol in their bujo just clicked and saved them?

My purple asterisk for "pay water bill" last month. I was about to leave town and it totally saved me a late fee.

Wait you actually pay your water bill BEFORE leaving town? I always forget and end up with those scary red envelopes in my mailbox. That purple thing must be some kind of magic. My brain would just shut off and I'd be thinking about packing. Saving the late fee is HUGE, those things add up so fast.

Oh man, do I ever feel seen by this whole thread? I'm exactly like you, Linda, my brain just goes straight to vacation mode and bills stop existing. That red envelope dread is so real. I saw what thomas275 said about his purple asterisk and I'm honestly thinking I need to try that system, because my current method of sticky notes on the fridge is a total fail. Those late fees are such a sneaky way to blow your budget.
