Found out my first bujo from 2019 was full of lies

Went back through my old notebook last week to copy a layout idea. Turns out I only kept up with it for 3 weeks, not the 6 months I remembered. My tracker pages were blank and I wrote 'perfect system' on day 2. Has anyone else looked back at old collections and realized you romanticized the whole thing?

Funny you say that, I found my 2018 one and it had a full month of weather tracking, then nothing. I remember it as this huge achievement, but really I quit on February 12th. That 'perfect system' note hits different when you see the blank pages right after it. Guess our brains smooth over the messy parts. Your mileage may vary, but I think most of us have done the same thing with old notebooks.
