Warning: I switched from a paper punch list to a spreadsheet and it saved my sanity on the Ashford job
Last spring on a 3 unit remodel in Boise I ran my punch list on a clipboard for 3 weeks and still missed 14 items at final walk. Switched to a simple shared spreadsheet with one row per item and it cut my callbacks in half, mostly since I could sort by room instead of flipping pages. I am not saying software fixes everything, but paper hides stuff when you have 2 subs waiting on you. What do you all use to track punch items without it turning into a second job?
Sorting by room is huge, but the real win for me was adding a column for which sub owns each item. That way nobody stands around asking who's fixing what, they just check the sheet and go.
