My apartment's fridge gave out Tuesday night, lost about $120 worth of groceries.
Had to use my emergency fund to cover a new one, but at least the budget plan worked. Anyone have tips for a good, cheap cooler as a temporary backup?

Feel for you on the fridge going out, that's such a gut punch. Using the emergency fund is smart, even if it stings. Those basic foam coolers are shockingly good for a quick fix.

My old cooler from college finally gave up last month, so I'm in the same boat. The cheap foam ones at the hardware store actually held ice for a full day.
