Just realized my grocery bill was way too high because of one habit

I was spending about $80 extra a month just on snacks and drinks from the gas station near my house. I started keeping a box of granola bars and a case of water in my car instead. After a month, I saved that whole $80. Has anyone else found a simple swap that cut a dumb expense?

Wow, I read that convenience stores mark stuff up like 50% sometimes.

That gas station tax is a real thing. I call it the "convenience fee" and it adds up faster than people realize. It's not just snacks, it's the whole habit of buying small things where they're most expensive because you didn't plan ahead. I see it with coffee, phone chargers, even basic medicine. The system is built for that last minute, tired decision. Breaking that one habit feels like finding free money.

Found out my car's cup holder was costing me more than my car payment.
