Seriously, though, a few hundred bucks over months? That's just normal car ownership. Route cuts suck, but it's not the end of the world. People adapt, find other ways to get around. Maybe it's an excuse to finally get that bike out of the garage. Just saying, it might not be as bad as it sounds.

My bus route got cut so now I'm spending way more on gas, actually.

The city cut the number 12 bus last fall, and it messed up a lot of commutes. @alice_wright36, gas costs are big, but the real hit is from extra car upkeep like tires and brakes. I spent over $500 more in three months just on car stuff. It's like the bus cut costs us twice.
