TIL people are still paying for airport lounge passes

Honestly, I just waited out a 4 hour layover in Denver using free terminal charging stations and a $6 sandwich I packed, while my buddy spent $50 on a lounge for the same wifi and coffee. Anyone have better free airport spots?

Wait, your friend paid fifty dollars just for coffee and wifi? That's wild. I get it if you're stuck there all day and need a shower or something, but for a four hour layover? I would have just found a quiet gate area and saved that money.

Remember my last layover when I bought a nine dollar bottle of water and a fifteen dollar sandwich just to use the cafe table for an hour. I basically paid for lounge access without any of the perks.
