Rant: Spent $40 on a portable laundry line and it ripped the first time I used it in a hostel in Barcelona

I bought one of those travel clotheslines thinking it would save me on hostel laundry fees, but the plastic hooks snapped as soon as I hung up a damp t-shirt. Has anyone found a brand that actually holds up for more than one trip?

I mean, it's just a clothesline, is it really that big of a deal?

Right @jessicaflores, but when you're backpacking on a budget and that line becomes your only way to wash socks without paying $10 for a hotel dryer, a snapped hook is kind of a big deal, you know?
