Swapped my $15 monthly planner for a $3 composition notebook and a ruler, works way better
I spent 6 months fighting with pre-printed layouts that never had enough space for my warehouse schedule until I tried just drawing my own grid with a straight edge and a pencil, anyone else ditched fancy planners for DIY?

Started doing the same thing after getting sick of forking out $30 for a planner that was half wasted space, and honestly my hand-drawn grids are way more practical. The trick I found is using a metal ruler with a cork backing so it doesn't slide around while you're drawing your lines. I've been using the same $2 composition book for the last three months and it's held up better than any fancy spiral I've owned.

ngl I tried that but the lines kept getting crooked no matter how careful I was with the ruler. Had to switch back to a cheap spiral with pre-printed grids, but at least it was like $5 at Walmart.

And then you can't even find a ruler that stays straight to save your life, right?
