Frozen veggies vs canned veggies for budget meals which is actually worth it?

I used to think canned veggies were the way to go for saving money. $0.89 a can at Walmart versus $1.50 for a bag of frozen. But then I noticed the sodium was way higher in canned and the texture was mushy after cooking. Last week I switched to frozen for my stir fry and it actually held up better. But frozen takes up freezer space and the bag says it's 4 servings but I eat the whole thing in one meal. What do you guys pick for your cheap meals and why?

Man, @hart.mark nailed it. Canned for soups, frozen for anything you actually want to taste good.

Have you considered mixing the two based on what you're cooking? For soups and stews where texture doesn't matter as much, canned beans and corn are cheap and fine. But for anything you want a bit of crunch in, like stir fries or tacos, frozen is totally worth it for the texture alone.

Ngl, do you drain and rinse your canned beans or just dump the whole can in?
