Talked to a cashier at Aldi and she flipped my whole grocery mindset

I was complaining about egg prices to the cashier at the Aldi on Miller Road last Tuesday, and she just shrugged and said "buy the store brand, nobody cares." Made me realize I've been grabbing name brand stuff out of habit for years, not because it's better. She told me her whole family eats off the yellow-labeled stuff and saves about $40 a week. Has anyone else had a random stranger totally change how you shop for basics?

Bro that's wild cause it's honestly the same with a bunch of stuff lately. Like I caught myself buying the fancy ketchup for years and the store brand tastes the same if not better lol. It's crazy how we just get locked into these habits without thinking.

My wife caught me sniffing the store brand ketchup like a weirdo in the aisle last week cause of that exact post from @james_singh7... turns out I've been paying double for fancy sauce for no reason. Now I'm halfway through a yellow label jar and honestly can't tell the difference.
