Hot take: that "life coach" certification I got 3 years ago was a COMPLETE scam

I paid $2,700 for a weekend course in Denver, and the trainer literally read slides from a PDF he found online. Has anyone actually gotten work from one of these things or is it just me?

Read something online where a guy broke down the numbers on these things. Turns out most life coaches never make back what they paid for the cert.

Oh man, @jennifer965, you hit the nail on the head. I looked into this myself a few years ago and found that a lot of those programs are just cash grabs with shiny promises. The real trick is to start actually coaching people for free or cheap first to build a real client base before spending a dime on any cert.
