Hit 1000 covers solo last Saturday night without a single ticket sent back
I was working the line at The Rusty Anchor in Portland, dead in the weeds during a private party of 50, and somehow every steak came out medium rare exactly how they wanted. The ticket machine stopped jamming for once and my expo actually called back clearly. Anyone else have those weird moments where everything just clicks out of nowhere?

First 1000 cover solo night is called a 1000 cover night.

First 1000 cover solo night is called a 1000 cover night" ok @felix824 I guess that's the technical term then lol. Honestly though, hitting that mark solo with no mistakes is like winning the lottery but with more sweat and less cash. I'd still take the bragging rights over a clean ticket any day, even if my back hates me the next morning.

Oh man, I used to be that guy who'd clown on people for hyping up "1000 cover" nights too, but this post actually changed my mind. Something about hitting that number without a single ticket error or re-fire is just different, it's like the kitchen gods smiled on you for one shift. Respect for pulling that off at a private party, those are usually the nights where everything goes sideways for no reason.
