Why do we still shake hands instead of fist bumps, tried it at a Dallas gym and nobody blinked
I swapped every handshake for a fist bump at work and in my training sessions after a flu hit my whole squad in January, and the only weird part was my own nerves in week one, has anyone else quietly killed a greeting norm and found it way less awkward than expected?

Hygiene aside, the fist bump actually levels the playing field with strangers, no weird power games over grip strength or palm sweat. Back in my late twenties I noticed older guys at work would use the handshake to test you, and the bump skips all that posturing entirely. Once the first ten people don't flinch, it becomes just another move, and you never go back.
