The grocery line guilt I dropped after my first month of saying no
I used to let strangers cut in front of me at the checkout if they had one item and I had a full cart. Did that for like 5 years, felt like I had to be polite. Then last March at a Kroger in Columbus, this guy with a soda just pushed past me without asking, and I finally snapped. Now I just say 'actually, I'm in a hurry' and hold my spot. Has anyone else stopped doing that whole gracious stranger thing after one rude person ruined it?

That one soda guy just did us all a favor, teaching the world that manners are a currency nobody's got time for.
