Serious question, I stopped tipping at the counter 6 months ago and my coffee guy in Portland barely noticed
I used to hit the same spot on SE Division every morning and drop a buck in the jar out of pure habit, until last month I did the math and realized that was $260 a year. So I quit cold turkey and just say thanks now, and honestly the barista has not treated me any different. My friend Jenna calls me cheap but I think the tip screen at every counter is the real scam here. Anyone else stopped tipping for stuff where you stand up to get your own food?
