Appreciation post: My orchid finally bloomed after 18 months of nothing
I got this phalaenopsis orchid as a gift in late 2022 and it just sat there, green but doing nothing. I followed all the care tips, but no flower spike. Last month, I moved it to a north-facing bathroom window for more humidity and forgot about it. Checked it this morning and there are three tiny buds forming. The only thing I changed was the location. Has anyone else had a plant just decide to work on its own weird timeline?

Nice! Mine finally spiked after I put it right next to my humid shower, too.
