At a picnic, a plastic spoon became my bone folder

My friend's cookbook split open while she was looking up a recipe. I took a plastic spoon from the cutlery set to smooth the pages back. It creased them neatly, better than I expected. She was so impressed she wants me to teach her some basics. Now I just carry a real bone folder in my pocket for times like that.

Ha, that reminds me of once when I used an old library card to crease some folded paper. It worked way cleaner than my ruler did. Got any other weird tool swaps that actually worked?

Watched my neighbor val_kim use a spoon on tape like it was normal. Looked completely ridiculous, but honestly, the finish was weirdly perfect. I've used a chopstick as a phone stand more times than I care to admit. At this point I'm convinced half my kitchen tools are just office supplies in disguise.
