One member's 3 word comment turned my whole reading list around
Last month at our Tuesday meetup in the back room of Brew & Bind, this quiet older guy heard me complaining about DNFing yet another hyped thriller. He just said 'try older women' and handed me a battered copy of a 1987 mystery. That one tip led me to 5 books I actually finished in 3 weeks, has anyone else gotten a life changing rec from a random stranger at their club?
Used to be right there with you honestly. Took me a couple of similar library hauls to realize the real shift is how you read, not just how many. That pacing forced me to actually sit with each book and that's what stuck.
