My leak test on a big tank saved me a full redo last week
I had a 40 foot condensate tank that was holding water fine but weeping along a seam at 12 psi. I tried the soap bubble method first, then went with a dye penetrant kit from Grainger, and it lit up two hairline cracks I never wouldve seen. Has anyone else had better luck with dye over pressure testing on older welds?

Dye test finds cracks, but pressure test checks if the whole weld actually holds under real load.
