Burned through $400 on a cheap abrasive wheel that fell apart halfway through a big weld prep job

Honestly I've run plenty of those bargain bin wheels and they usually finish the job. A wheel cracking is annoying but calling it a false economy seems a bit much. It's just a consumable tool that wears out, sometimes messily. I'd be more worried if it was a grinding disc flying apart at high speed.

Man, my buddy's off-brand wheel literally cracked in half last week, @piper_reed, so yeah, avoid those no-name ones.
