That guy who taught me Catan at a coffee shop is still my favorite gaming memory

I was at a local shop near downtown Austin last summer, just staring at the box, and this random dude in a faded band tee asked if I wanted to learn. He spent 45 minutes walking me through settlements and roads without once making me feel dumb for asking dumb questions. He even let me win our first game just to keep me interested.
