Hit 100 plays on my battered copy of Race for the Galaxy last night
I logged it in my BGStats app just out of curiosity and realized I'd played Race for the Galaxy exactly 100 times. That's like 100 hours of sitting around my kitchen table trying to figure out the order of phases. My copy is held together with packing tape and the cards are all dog-eared from my buddy Mike shuffling them like a maniac. Has anyone else been surprised by a specific game count that made them stop and think?

Used to think Race for the Galaxy was just too complicated for how short it plays. After maybe 20 games it clicked and now I almost get what everyone sees in it.

The real test is playing it with someone who's never seen it before... you basically have to narrate their whole first game for them or they'll just pick random cards. My group still calls it "the game where you need a translator" three years later.
