My old boss swore by 9 AM meetings, then we moved to 3 PM and everything shifted
For two years at a marketing firm in Cleveland we did daily 9 AM standups. People would drag in half asleep, rehash yesterday, and barely say anything useful. Last quarter our manager switched to 3 PM and suddenly everyone shows up with actual numbers, like campaign clicks and draft copy. The morning crew complained at first but now the same team finishes decisions in 10 minutes instead of 40. Am I crazy for thinking the time of day matters more than the agenda itself, or has anyone else seen this flip?
