Hit 10,000 delivery miles and it changed how I see every road

So I finally hit 10,000 miles on my route this week, just a random number I had in my head as a goal. I kept a little log in my glovebox, not for work or anything, just to see when it would happen. It took me about 8 months of daily runs around Columbus to get there. But what surprised me wasn't the mileage itself, it was how many potholes and construction zones I can now predict without even looking at the map. I know which lights stay red for too long and which back alleys save me 4 minutes during rush hour. It hit me that this kind of stupid local knowledge is worth more than any GPS app. Has anyone else tracked a random milestone like this and ended up seeing their whole area differently? What was your number?

Funny you mention that, my buddy Dave did the same thing on his pizza delivery route and hit 5,000 miles before realizing he could tell time by which streetlight he was under. He started bragging he could beat any GPS, and then one day a road closed for construction and he sat there for twenty minutes because his "perfect route" was useless. Now he just uses the app like the rest of us, but he still talks about those 5,000 miles like they made him some kind of road wizard.
