My Thursday night marathon got wrecked by a missing episode

Last week I finally cleared my schedule to binge that new sci-fi series everyone keeps talking about, the one with 8 episodes. I got through the first 5 on Thursday night and I was hooked, but when I hit play on episode 6 the service just skipped it and jumped to 7. Turns out there was a licensing hiccup that pulled that single episode for 48 hours, and I couldn't find any info about it until I checked their support thread on Friday morning. I ended up rewatching episode 5 twice just to feel like I made progress, which was weird but kind of fun. Does anyone else get thrown off when a platform messes with the order or availability mid-binge, or do you just jump ahead and deal with it?

Wait, they pulled a single episode for 48 hours in the middle of your run? That is wild to me, since you would think licensing stuff would affect the whole season, not just one random piece of it. I probably would have jumped to 7 anyway, but I get why rewatching 5 felt better than skipping ahead.

Guess the licensing gods just wanted to mess with me specifically for two days. Next time maybe they'll pull the finale and really keep me on my toes.
