Can we talk about how long it took me to find a show with decent subtitles that sync properly
I spent about 3 hours last night trying to figure out why the subtitles on a British crime drama were a full 8 seconds ahead of the audio. Tried restarting my Roku, switched HDMI cables, even factory reset the TV. Turns out it was a setting in the streaming app itself buried under accessibility options. Took me way longer than it should have, like 45 minutes of actual troubleshooting. Has anyone else run into this kind of sync issue on different platforms?

Did I spend 30 minutes trying to re-pair my bluetooth earbuds before realizing the subtitles were the problem? Yes. Yes I did. My cat just watched me argue with a tv remote like it was a sports match.

Wait, did your cat actually sit there and watch you like you were putting on a show? That's amazing, @nelson.nancy. My dog would have just left the room and judged me from the other side of the house. I feel this so hard though. I once spent a whole weekend trying to fix my wifi only to find out I just had to move my router like three inches to the left. We all have those moments where technology makes us look like total goobers.

The part about your cat watching you argue with the remote actually made me laugh out loud. I used to think people were exaggerating when they talked about their pets judging them during tech failures, but now I totally get it. Your cat was basically saying "I could have fixed this in 2 seconds, human.
