That one Tuesday last August when nothing went right
Had a guy bring in a 1990s Cannondale with a seized seatpost, then the next customer wanted me to rebuild a wheel with a broken spoke... but the drive-side flange cracked when I tensioned it. Anyone else have a day where you just should've stayed in bed?

Oh man, that spoke flange cracking is brutal. That's the kind of thing that just ruins your whole mood. I've had days like that where everything you touch turns to garbage. The Cannondale seatpost is a classic nightmare too, those older ones are welded in there for life. Honestly, some days the universe just decides you're gonna eat a loss and move on.

That 3 hour battle I had with a seized Thomson post on an old aluminum frame still makes me angry when I think about it. Ended up having to cut the whole thing out with a sawzall and it took like half the seat tube with it. You ever had to just walk away from a bike for a few days before you did something stupid to it?
