Took me 3 weeks to figure out my clippers were pulling because of one tiny screw
Had a stretch where every fade was snagging and I blamed my blades, my technique, the hair, everything. Bought new blades, watched 4 hours of YouTube, still pulling. Turned out the tension screw on my Oster had backed out maybe a quarter turn, and tightening it took 10 seconds. Three weeks of fighting my own tools over one screw. Anyone else got a dumb fix that took way too long to find?

Three weeks?? Over a quarter turn of a screw? Man that hurts to read because I know EXACTLY how that feels. The worst part is you probably kept checking everything EXCEPT the one thing that was actually broken, because who thinks to check the tension screw when the blades are brand new. Four hours of YouTube and new blades when the fix was sitting right there the whole time. I bet you felt equal parts relieved and furious when you finally figured it out.
