TIL my bank's round up savings feature actually adds up, hit $212 without noticing
I turned on the round up thing in my bank app back in March just to see what it would do, figuring it was a gimmick that would save me maybe 20 bucks a year, and I checked it last week and there was $212 sitting in there. Every purchase gets rounded to the next dollar and the change goes into savings, so my $4.37 coffee added 63 cents and I never felt it. Anyone else use these auto savings tools, and do you actually leave the money alone or do you end up pulling it back out when you need cash?
