I used to believe all bad days came in clusters of three

After my car battery died on a Monday, then my credit card got declined at the grocery store on Tuesday, I was braced for a Wednesday disaster. Instead, I found $20 in an old coat pocket, my boss gave me a surprise half day off, and the sunset over Lake Merritt was unreal. Looking back, that whole week shifted my idea that bad luck follows any sort of pattern you can predict. Has anyone else had a supposedly cursed day turn completely around out of nowhere?

Did you try starting the week with a full tank of gas after that?

Actually I think it's more about keeping the tank above half all week, not just starting full.
